Welcome to Kenya. On day one of your safari our team will meet and greet you at the airport and brief you on your itinerary. Your safari begins at Lake Nakuru, known for its iconic pink hues created by the thousands of flamingos that flock to its shores. The lake is nestled within Nakuru National Park, where the lush woodlands and grassy plains create a haven for both white and black rhinos, lions, leopards, and giraffes. The scenic landscape offers a perfect backdrop for wildlife photography, with the chance to capture flamingos against the shimmering waters. Arrive on time for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon by the pool. As the sun sets in the evening, the atmosphere of the park settles into the comforts of the unfolding night and the nocturnal sounds of the wilderness. Later dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Meal plan: Half board (Lunch and dinner)
It’s 6.30 am and the sun is rising in Africa. As its golden light spreads across the lake, far below your cliff top hideaway, the water ripples and transforms, like a desert rose, into a shimmer of pink, as a flamboyance of flamingos begins a new day. Your tent allows you 180 degree views of the panoramic paradise, yet maintaining privacy. Wake up and sit on the veranda to catch the rising sun in the morning as it spreads its vivid light across the lake, nudging life into the park’s occupants and awakening its environs before heading to the restaurant for breakfast. After head out for the morning game drive. Nakuru National Park offers a unique setting for Big Five encounters, nestled around the shimmering waters of Lake Nakuru. Lions and leopards, displaying their prowess and elegance, inhabit the park’s diverse landscapes, while elephants traverse the shores of the lake, their silhouettes framed by the horizon. Buffalo gatherings create a sense of unity and strength against the backdrop of sweeping grasslands. Head back to camp for lunch before going for an afternoon game drive. Later dinner and overnight stay.

This intimate encounter with nature allows for a deeper connection to the surroundings. Arrive on time for lunch and spend the day soaking up the sun by the poolside. In the afternoon, take leisurely walks along the lake’s shores to appreciate its tranquility and surrounding landscapes. Guided nature walks can provide insights into the flora and fauna of the area, as well as its cultural and historical significance or Explore the lake from a different perspective by taking a boat safari. This allows you to get up close to the birdlife and potentially spot some aquatic animals. While Lake Elementaita is not known for its big game, you can still spot some wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, and dik-diks in the Soysambu Conservancy.
