Kilifi is a town situated on both sides of the estuary and is linked by the Kilifi Bridge. The south side features the Mnarani ruins & Bofa Beach, considered one of the most beautiful, uninhabited beaches along the Kenyan coast lined with palm trees. Additionally, the smaller Shauri Moyo beach is located on the south side of Kilifi Creek, making it ideal for sunbathing or relaxing.
Kilifi is known for its beach and for the ruins of Mnarani including mosques and tombs dating from the 14th to the 17th century. It’s most famous beach is Bofa Beach, covered in endless white sand with swaying palms and the waters of the Indian Ocean. Other places to visit apart from Mnarani include Vipingo Ridge and Vuma Cliffs.
